Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge and experience in trading meats, with a strong focus on enhancing existing client relationships and negotiating improved terms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To effectively manage trading supply with customers, focusing on enhancing existing client relationships and negotiating improved terms.
  • To identify and develop sales opportunities for branded products and selected own label products into existing and potential accounts.
  • To proactively manage a portfolio of client accounts to maximize contract retention and loyalty.
  • To renew and negotiate client contracts to optimize the company's financial return and contract terms.
  • To support operations in the development of new services for clients, including budget development, developing presentations, contract negotiation proposals, marketing, and general support.
  • To attend sales meetings, conferences, and other company events and carry out day-to-day administrative tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • To actively participate in training and development activities as identified by the company.
  • To actively comply with all company employment policies and procedures.
  • To support the commercial team on developing a UK strategy for sales as and when required, along with any other reasonable duties as directed by the business.

Requirements:

  • Good meat knowledge is essential, preferably beef.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.

Additional:

Some travel will be required domestically and abroad as required for customer development and responsibility.

Package:

Up to £70,000 (DOE) + Car Allowance & Bonus.

Private Medical Insurance + Company pension contribution.
