About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Operations Assistant to join our Finance Team at International Procurement and Logistics. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial support and analysis to ensure the smooth operation of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce weekly and monthly sales and inventory reporting analysis to inform business decisions
- Monitor and manage stock levels to minimize losses
- Ensure accurate product costings and exchange rates are agreed and submitted
- Regularly review and correct PO inputs and closures
- Post and reconcile monthly general ledger accounts
- Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations and monitor postings
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date reporting data in central databases
- Review and correct old POs causing accounting inaccuracies
- Work with business units to ensure accuracy of cost cubes and POs
- Ensure forecast integrity and review spreadsheets for retail changes
- Ensure master data accuracy, including WIN numbers and descriptions
- Support the Management Accountant in forecasting and overhead accruals
- Understand and resolve pricing queries with customers
- Produce ad-hoc management information using PR2 and Retail Lin
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and external standards
Requirements
- A motivated individual with a desire to complete relevant accounting qualifications
- Advanced analytical and Excel skills
- Experience working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills
- A resilient attitude with a desire to influence others and complete tasks
- Experience in people management and working in a manufacturing environment is advantageous
