Senior Project Manager Opportunity

Our client is a leading provider in the installation of various mechanical systems for the Water sector across the UK. They deliver comprehensive services that encompass water and wastewater treatment, including design, fabrication, site installation, and testing.

We are on the lookout for a dedicated, proactive, and reliable individual to join our client’s team. The successful applicant will be accountable for the execution of projects while adhering to quality protocols that consider Risk, Safety, Health, Wellbeing, Environment, and Quality standards. The ideal candidate should possess experience in the Water sector within a construction or engineering context.

This role is a full-time position, requiring 40.5 hours of work per week. The working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm and Friday from 8 am to 3 pm.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager:

  • Adherence to Company Health and Safety Policies.
  • Management of Client Inquiries as directed by the Line Manager.
  • Oversight of Tendering Processes.
  • Creation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Development of Safe Systems of Work.
  • Management of Frameworks.
  • Preparation, Planning, and Execution of Projects.
  • Planning, Organizing, and Leading Site Resources.
  • Ensuring Compliance with Client Specifications.
  • Procurement of Equipment, Materials, and Resources for Project Deliverables.
  • Engagement with Clients and Building Relationships.
  • Site Supervision as required.
  • Leadership and Commitment to Achieving Company Targets and KPIs.
  • Dedication to delivering Quality and Service consistently.

Requirements for the Senior Project Manager:

  • Experience in the Water sector and Construction Site environments.
  • Recognized qualifications (HND/Degree/Apprenticeship) and certifications (IOSH, CSCS Card, DOMS/National Water Hygiene, etc.).
  • Experience with materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, and ductile iron pipework.
  • A comprehensive understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations and risk assessments.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Scotland and occasionally to other regions of the UK.
  • Possession of relevant and suitable hand tools.
  • Experience in mechanical plant repair, maintenance, refurbishment, site surveys, problem-solving, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with pump and drive motor removal and installation.
