About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Lead Youth Project Coordinator at Youth Action Alliance. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programme Management
    • Coordinate and oversee the development and implementation of a personal and social development programme for young people aged 11-19.
    • Recruit and engage young people to participate in the programme.
    • Strengthen local partnerships to support programme delivery.
    • Ensure the safety and well-being of young people through regular risk assessments and health and safety checks.
    • Manage promotional activities to raise awareness of the programme.
    • Oversee project funding, financial reporting, and budget management.
    • Provide one-to-one or group support to young people through various communication channels.
    • Create and monitor individual action plans to track young people's goals and progress.
    • Organize trips and positive activities in line with the programme.
    • Manage day-to-day operations and oversee administrative tasks related to the programme.
    • Seek and build partnerships with external stakeholders to support programme delivery.
    • Represent the organisation at various meetings.
  • Staff Management
    • Oversee and guide the Staying Connected Support Worker(s) to ensure high performance and efficient delivery of the programme.
    • Directly manage facilitators involved in the programme.
  • Reporting and Grant Management
    • Prepare and present budgetary reports.
    • Ensure the accuracy and timely input of project data.
    • Collate and present statistics on project performance.
    • Generate reports demonstrating key data.
    • Identify and pursue business development opportunities to build new partnerships and enhance programme delivery.
  • Evaluation
    • Gather and document feedback on young people's experiences and progress through various methods.
    • Use collected feedback to demonstrate the programme's impact and support efforts to secure future funding.
    • Ensure that the feedback and perspectives of young people are incorporated into the design and delivery of the service.
