Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to take on the role of Ward Manager on our acute cardiology ward F5/F2. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical and professional leadership for a team of staff supporting the service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the nursing team to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring that patients receive the best possible treatment and support.
- Develop and implement service development plans in line with the Trust Nursing and Midwifery Strategy and divisional objectives.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and improve patient outcomes.
- Implement and maintain high standards of patient care, adhering to Trust policies and procedures.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior staff members, promoting their professional development and growth.
Requirements:
- Substantial experience as a Band 6 within cardiology/cardiac surgery.
- Hold a mentorship qualification.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
