About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced nurse to take on the role of Ward Manager on our acute cardiology ward. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient care
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- Manage and coordinate staff resources, budget, and environment to optimize patient care
- Contribute to the development of the ward's strategic plan and objectives
Requirements
- Substantial experience at Band 6 Grade in an acute hospital setting
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience of change management and implementation of audit/research recommendations
- Recent evidence of continuing professional and personal development
- Teaching or lecturing experience (desirable)
