About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced nurse to take on the challenging role of Ward Manager on our acute cardiology ward. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of staff and providing clinical and professional leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of staff to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure the smooth operation of the ward.
  • Develop and implement clinical standards and professional practice within the service.
  • Manage and coordinate staff, budget, and resources to ensure the effective delivery of services.
  • Work closely with the Matron and Lead Nurse to shape future services and support the development of the Cardiac Division.
  • Implement service development in line with the Trust's Nursing and Midwifery Strategy and divisional objectives.
Requirements
  • Substantial experience at Band 6 Grade in an acute hospital setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Recent evidence of continuing professional and personal development.
  • Implementation of audit/research recommendations.
  • Experience of change management.
