Job Title: Deputy Ward Manager

The Deputy Ward Manager will provide senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team, supporting inpatient adults within an eating disorder unit. The ward offers comprehensive services focusing on positive physical and psychological outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Ward Manager in providing day-to-day management and supervision of the ward.
  • Support the Ward Manager in managing and supervising a team of registered and unregistered staff.
  • Implement best practices across the ward.
  • Support changes within the service.
  • Lead the clinical direction of the service.
  • Contribute to the delivery of personalized care and service improvement.
  • Support multidisciplinary team practice.
  • Implement and evaluate therapeutic interventions within an overall care program.
  • Ensure that care and treatment meets regulatory standards.
Requirements:
  • Active registration with the NMC, meeting the requirements of Revalidation.
  • Clinical supervision experience is essential, training desirable.
  • Evidence of continued professional development and intent to maintain and develop continued professional development and leadership.
  • Highly developed communication skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Experience in Mental Health or Learning Disability services.
  • At least 3 years or equivalent experience post-registration.
