Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to lead our acute cardiology ward, pre-operative assessment clinic, and day case ward. As a Ward Manager, you will be responsible for providing clinical and professional leadership to a team of staff, ensuring high-quality care to patients with complex cardiology conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the nursing team to maintain high standards of clinical practice and patient care.
  • Manage all aspects of clinical standards, professional practice, staff, budget, resources, and the environment.
  • Collaborate with the Matron and Lead Nurse to shape future services and support the Cardiac Division.
  • Develop and implement service development in line with the Trust Nursing and Midwifery Strategy and divisional objectives.

Requirements
  • Substantial experience at Band 6 Grade in an acute hospital setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience of change management.
  • Registered Practitioner on the relevant part of the professional register (RGN).
  • Teaching qualification.
