Job Title: Adult Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Adult Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Mental Health Support Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to children and young people.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work in partnership with schools to deliver consultation, assessment, and mental health interventions within school settings. You will provide case management supervision to qualified and trainee Education Mental Health Practitioners and be responsible for ensuring the effective care coordination, support, and advice around clinical care provided within schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a range of specialist CAMHS assessment and treatment interventions for children and young people, as well as their families and carers.
  • Undertake clinical responsibility for a caseload, adhering to risk management and care planning processes in line with the Care Programme Approach.
  • Provide CAMHS specialist clinical risk assessments and complex risk management plans as part of routine clinical work.
  • Ensure high-quality, accurate, and contemporaneous clinical record keeping in line with current Trust policies.
  • Provide CAMHS consultation, training, and advice to professionals working within children's services in Gloucestershire.
  • Provide clinical supervision to staff as required, as well as CPD learning activities within the team.
Person Specification
  • Achieved registration as a mental health professional.
  • 2 years post-registration experience.
  • 2 years experience working with children and young people.
