About the Position:

Are you driven by the challenge of crafting effective marketing strategies and enhancing customer interaction? We are looking for a proactive and motivated Marketing Specialist - Food to become a vital member of our central marketing team.

In this position, you will be instrumental in designing and executing multi-channel marketing initiatives both in-store and externally, with the goal of increasing customer traffic, member participation, and overall sales performance.

Collaborating with our energetic and diverse marketing team, and assisting the Marketing Manager, you will concentrate on formulating and executing customer-focused marketing plans that align with our food retail and community business objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include:


  • Strategizing, coordinating, and implementing marketing initiatives across various channels such as digital, print, in-store promotions, and events – ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of campaigns.
  • Collaborating with internal and external designers, agencies, and printers to manage the creation and distribution of all marketing materials.
  • Analyzing market and customer trends along with competitor activities to inform impactful marketing strategies that drive in-store sales.
  • Assisting the Marketing Manager in executing marketing plans for food store openings, closures, and renovations.
  • Ensuring that marketing communications to stores are engaging, effective, and timely, in collaboration with the Food Retail Communications team.

This role is part of a team operating from our Head Office, with a blend of remote and in-office work.

Who are we seeking?
To excel in this role, you will:
  • Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a marketing setting.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Have familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms, including Social Media, CRM, and Web Analytics, which is advantageous.
  • Possess the ability to manage budgets effectively.
  • Have an understanding of trends within the Food Retail industry.
  • Be willing to travel nationally with a valid driver's license.
