We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Documentation Specialist to join our dynamic team in Southampton. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of international shipping regulations and documentation procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and timely bills of lading in accordance with shipper instructions, customs requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Release bills of lading to customers promptly, adhering to established credit agreements and payment terms.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving issues related to documentation efficiently and professionally.
  • Analyze and rectify discrepancies in electronic data interchange (EDI) messages pertaining to the documentation process.
  • Maintain accurate records and update relevant systems to ensure seamless document flow and traceability.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations and achieve operational excellence.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in shipping documentation, preferably within the international maritime industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant customs regulations and international trade practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
