Job Summary:

Change for Good is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Prison Reintegration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals preparing for release from prison and helping them reintegrate into the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage with individuals who would benefit from our services, assessing their needs and risks.
  • Match clients with suitable volunteers, tracking progress and providing ongoing support.
  • Develop and facilitate peer support groups, promoting a sense of community and empowerment among participants.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including prisons, probation services, and other organizations within the criminal justice sector.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with offenders and ex-offenders in prison or community settings.
  • Confidence in engaging one-to-one, communicating effectively and making informed assessments of suitability.
  • Understanding of the criminal justice system and the role of befriending/mentoring in enabling positive change.
  • Resilience to work effectively in challenging environments, including prisons and community settings.
  • Empathy with Change for Good's faith-based values and ethos.
