We are seeking a highly skilled Service Manager to support the delivery of business as usual and transformational projects within the Cancer Performance Service at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
Main Responsibilities- Operational Support: Provide comprehensive support to the management team, overseeing administrative services, ensuring optimal staffing, training, and service structure.
- Lead and manage key projects, including the implementation of the 28-Day Faster Diagnosis Standard and the transition to a paperless 2-week wait office.
- Oversee and analyze complex data from various sources to produce monitoring reports, support decision-making, and ensure accurate data submission and quality.
- Effectively communicate across the directorate, attend and represent the Cancer Performance team in meetings, and manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in monitoring the departmental budget, ensuring efficient use of resources, and supporting the development of business plans and service improvements.
- Lead, support, and develop the MDT administration staff, covering in the absence of the MDT lead, and fostering a positive, results-driven team environment.
- Investigate and resolve patient complaints, ensuring responses align with Trust standards, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Encourage and participate in professional development, ensuring that all staff meet training requirements and maintain high standards of performance.

Person Specification- Qualifications: Education to degree level or equivalent experience working at management level/project level.
- Experience: Senior experience within a healthcare or similar setting, ideally in an acute setting.
