Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with significant Oncology experience to join our Cancer Services Team at KIMS Hospital. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will work to coordinate care and provide easy access for ongoing support for patients with a cancer diagnosis.

This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse who has strong oncology experience and excellent communication skills. You will be based primarily at the Maidstone site but will be expected to support the staff at Sevenoaks Medical Centre with cancer-related queries and the cancer patient pathway.

Main Duties:

  • Support the cancer services team in the provision of cancer care at KIMS Hospital and at Sevenoaks Medical Centre.
  • Cover the Ambulatory Care Unit in delivering supportive therapies.
  • Assist consultants in the delivery of breaking bad news and follow patient's pathway to continue that support.
  • Support consultants and allied health professionals at a clinical level in regard to the cancer patients pathway.
  • Work with other clinical leads and consultants to maximise utilisation of support for patients with a diagnosis of cancer.
