Position Overview

This role encompasses a commitment of 35 hours per week.

The Site Operations Support role at Livewell Southwest involves delivering essential support services to ensure the Cumberland Centre maintains a high standard of cleanliness, organization, and overall aesthetic appeal. Responsibilities include executing cleaning tasks as assigned by the Facilities Management Team across all premises. This position operates on a rotational shift pattern, covering 7 days a week, including public holidays, from early morning until late evening. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Site Operations Support role includes a variety of essential duties:

  1. Delivering catering supplies to various departments.
  2. Managing waste disposal, ensuring cleanliness in designated bin areas, and maintaining secure bin storage.
  3. Handling the collection and delivery of clean and soiled laundry, ensuring proper storage.
  4. Storing laboratory specimens appropriately until collection.
  5. Reporting equipment malfunctions and building maintenance issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  6. Assisting in the relocation of equipment as needed.
  7. Facilitating patient movement to various departments, including X-ray and Minor Injuries Unit.
  8. Delivering and connecting medical gases in accordance with established policies.
  9. Managing mail and parcel deliveries, including sorting and franking external post.
  10. Transporting patient medical records to the appropriate departments.
  11. Receiving and distributing supplies, including stationery, to all departments.
  12. Ensuring the safe delivery of medications from the Pharmacy to designated personnel.
  13. Collecting specimens from the Pharmacy as required.
  14. Maintaining cleanliness and conducting routine checks on site vehicles as directed.
  15. Replenishing cleaning supplies and ensuring dispensers are stocked with necessary products.
  16. Adapting work schedules flexibly to meet service demands.
  17. Providing coverage for the Site Assistant/Courier Driver during absences.

Cleaning Responsibilities

Key cleaning duties include:

  1. Maintaining cleanliness in corridors, stairways, floors, and lifts.
  2. Ensuring clinical areas are kept to high hygiene standards.
  3. Cleaning specialized areas such as the X-Ray Department and Minor Injuries Unit.
  4. Maintaining cleanliness in restrooms, waiting areas, and reception zones.
  5. Managing waste disposal, including cleaning refuse bins and cigarette receptacles.
  6. Following infection control guidelines for spill management and deep cleaning tasks.

Grounds Maintenance

Responsibilities also include maintaining the grounds:

  1. Ensuring entrances are free of debris and litter.
  2. Applying grit or salt to pathways during inclement weather.
  3. Cleaning external signage and maintaining the appearance of the premises.

Health & Safety Duties

Responsibilities related to health and safety include:

  1. Securing buildings and responding to emergency alarms.
  2. Assisting authorized personnel and contractors on site.
  3. Reporting incidents and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

General Responsibilities

Additional duties may include:

  1. Attending mandatory training sessions and role-specific training as required.
  2. Supporting the Hotel Services Management Team with various tasks.

Candidate Requirements

Essential qualifications include:

  1. A valid driving license held for a minimum of two years.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively with staff and service users.
  3. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and cleaning protocols.
