Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a caring and supportive individual to join our team as a SEN Teaching Assistant on a fixed-term contract.

About the Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support teaching and learning, providing specialist support to the teacher in an aspect of the curriculum or age range, for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in planning and delivering lessons for children with SEN
  • Provide individualized support to pupils with SEN, under the direction of the teacher
  • Assist with the development and implementation of structured learning activities
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning activities and provide feedback to teachers
Requirements
  • Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge and procedures for supporting and leading learning activities in SEN
  • Successful relevant experience of working with children
  • Ability to devise and implement structured learning activities
