About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Professional to join our team at Home Instead. As a Senior Care Professional, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care services to our clients and supporting our care professionals in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the start of new care packages and conduct client and caregiver introductions
- Conduct spot checks to ensure MAR sheets are completed correctly and provide feedback on necessary changes to care plans and schedules
- Regularly conduct client quality assurance checks and complete accurate records
- Provide cover to ensure continuity of care for clients during periods of caregiver absence and report any concerns to the Care Manager
- Support care professionals out in the field, including shadow shifts to help build confidence
- Provide practical support and training to new care professionals and conduct competency checks
- Conduct Competency Standards Observations and shadow visits for care professionals
Requirements
- Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF Level 7 (SVQ 3) or equivalent or willingness to work towards this
- Experience in the care sector delivering a wide range of personal care services
- Experience of working with MAR sheets and medication in a care giving role
- Passion for delivering the highest quality care to our clients and helping them to live independently and happily in their own homes
- Knowledge and understanding of legislation and regulations specific to Health and Social Care
- Good communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Must understand the importance of confidentiality working within current legislation
- Must have full driving license and means of transport if required within the territory to visit clients
- Be organized and flexible to meet the needs of the business
What We Offer
- Guaranteed, contracted 28 hours, averaged per week, including alternate weekends
- Enhanced hourly rate of pay of £13.50 per hour
- Additional payment for out-of-hours on-call team alternative weekends
- Opportunity to work as a Medication (Oral) Assessor with training provided
