CNC Machinist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our client's team in Nottinghamshire. As a key member of the machining area, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a range of CNC milling and turning machines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain CNC milling and turning machines
  • Conduct basic first principle measurement and maintain the cell 5s standard
  • Maintain collaboration of gauges and equipment and manage the efficient allocation of consumables and resources/materials in the cell
Requirements:
  • Time-served apprenticeship trained with proof of qualification/certification
  • Proficient in operating both milling and turning machines
  • Good working knowledge of Fanuc and Siemens operating systems
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Aerospace experience desirable, but automotive/manufacturing/tool making experience is also advantageous
  • Ability to operate and maintain a clean work environment
Working Hours:

The machining area operates on a 3-shift pattern, Monday to Friday:

  • Mornings (06:00 - 14:12)
  • Afters (13:30 - 21:30, with a Friday 19:00 finish)
  • Nights (21:00 - 06:15, 4 shifts Monday to Thursday)

This is a temp-to-perm contract, covering 38 hours per week. The right candidate will have the opportunity to progress to a permanent position after an initial qualifying period.
