About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Technician to join our team at the School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences, Queen Mary University of London. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing bacterial cytological profiling and imaging protocols, obtaining high-quality images using phase contrast, confocal and super-resolution microscopy, and training lab colleagues and students.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant BSc/BA degree (MSc desirable), extensive experience with molecular biology techniques (gene cloning and purification) and live cell imaging. You will also have a strong interest in bacterial response to antibiotics and bacterial cell biomechanics. Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills are essential, as well as a proactive and self-motivated attitude.
