Position: EMEA Resiliency Testing Coordinator

The newly established Firmwide Technology Resiliency (FTR) organization is committed to maintaining seamless operations and supporting the essential functions of our business services amidst an ever-evolving risk landscape. The FTR team collaborates across all lines of business and corporate functions to deliver key initiatives, including:
  • Proactive and informed testing, simulations, and assessments to validate operational readiness and minimize residual risks.
  • A comprehensive technology resiliency control framework that aligns with strong governance and reporting mechanisms for enhanced visibility and accountability.
  • A multi-year, prioritized strategy for resiliency investments aimed at enhancing core tools, capabilities, and controls to support the firm's strategic objectives in areas such as Public Cloud, Technology Modernization, AI/ML, and business expansion.
  • Ongoing engagement with regulatory bodies and the financial industry to bolster sector-wide resiliency and preparedness.
  • Proactive analyses of threats and vulnerabilities to ensure our initiatives are grounded in the current risk environment and plausible disruptive scenarios.
This role is integral to the EMEA Resiliency Testing team, focusing on executing targeted resiliency simulations across major lines of business and corporate functions, as well as technology testing of data centers. Your efforts will enhance technology and business controls, boost preparedness, and ensure effective response and recovery capabilities against prevalent threats. In this position, you will collaborate with business and technology leaders to identify emerging risks, work with subject matter experts to develop realistic simulation scenarios, and drive actionable insights through a structured findings management process that is both risk-based and metrics-driven.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in the planning, design, execution, and evaluation of both internal and external resiliency simulations and testing, adhering to the firm's standards and global regulatory requirements.
  • Support all facets of exercise project management throughout the engagement lifecycle, including scheduling, venue arrangements, facilitating discussions, and providing updates to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to create customized, all-hazards simulation scenarios that meet business, resiliency, technology, and cyber incident response objectives.
  • Assist in post-exercise analysis, reporting, and assessment, synthesizing corrective actions, tracking progress, and designing future simulations to validate enhancements.
  • Identify and address opportunities for improvement in processes, procedures, tools, and knowledge management.
  • Contribute to the overall team strategy and capability enhancement initiatives to accelerate maturity.
Qualifications
  • Willingness to work weekends and/or shifts to support testing events.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex engagements collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, subject matter experts, and senior leaders to establish requirements and execute project milestones.
  • Preferred experience of 3-5 years in planning, developing, and coordinating incident response playbooks or operational processes within a large organization, with a preference for knowledge of the financial services sector.
  • Understanding of key international financial systems, current threat landscapes, operational resiliency considerations, and potential systemic risk scenarios. Experience in interpreting threat and risk analyses related to cyber adversaries, technology disruptions, and major hazards is beneficial.
  • Experience in developing and presenting briefings to senior leaders, along with facilitating large group meetings and logistics planning.
  • Exceptional writing skills and effective communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related technologies is required. Background in metrics development, risk analysis, and automation is a plus.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding organizational skills necessary for planning, designing, and coordinating simulations, ensuring integration of crisis management and incident response procedures across the firm.
