The ideal candidate will possess the capability to guide and mentor a small group of scientists in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment. Collaboration with various stakeholders across research and development and the broader organization is essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all projects within the team, providing strategic insights and guidance to stakeholders.
- Execute and design experiments related to Next Generation Sequencing.
- Conduct comprehensive data mining and manage extensive datasets.
- Demonstrate proficiency in statistical programming languages (e.g., R, Python) to facilitate large-scale genomic data analysis.
- Develop methodologies for synthesizing complex, modified, and lengthy DNA/RNA sequences.
- Utilize CRISPR Cas9 technology for chromosomal modifications.
Qualifications and Skills:
- PhD in molecular biology or equivalent experience.
- Extensive knowledge of molecular biology techniques, including DNA sequencing, transfection, Western blotting, and ELISA.
- Proven experience in designing and executing experiments, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated history of leading small teams of scientific professionals in laboratory settings.
