We are seeking a skilled Marine Cargo Claims Handler to join our Cargo & Logistics Claims team at Lockton.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a variety of claims arising from a broad mix of industries, including automobile physical damage, carriers'/warehouse legal liability, contractors' equipment, motor truck cargo, primary and excess stock, project cargo, and sub-sea and offshore equipment.
- Manage claims from first advice to final settlement, including setting up first advice, processing and managing subsequent movements on Lockton internal claims systems / ECF / Class.
- Meet agreed Service Standards, volumes, and performance levels in line with Key Performance Indicators and handle claims efficiently in a proactive manner through physical and/or electronic broking, negotiations, and management of claims payment process.
- Maintain claims relationships with key accounts, including regular calls and provision of claims reports to clients and management of Insurers.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in marine cargo claims.
- Some knowledge of policy coverage and associated benefits and exclusions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including networking, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent use of standard Microsoft applications.
