Job Summary

Alcon is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director to lead the execution of new programs and initiatives within the Supply Chain department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in demand management and commercial environments, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the execution of new programs and initiatives within the Supply Chain department, including promotional activities, forecast and coordination for key events, and new product launches.
  • Monitor key sales and operations planning performance indicators, cost-to-serve performance data, and coordinate cross-functional and cross-cluster work teams to increase the effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.
  • Drive the S&OP process for the Surgical franchise to achieve optimal demand/supply management, including developing, maintaining, and monitoring all S&OP processes in the franchise.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for commercial teams for all supply chain related topics, including demand and supply management, transportation, and warehousing and distribution.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve supply constraints, product launches, or other supply chain related initiatives.
  • Provide direction and updates to commercial leadership on product constraints, supply chain constraints, quality holds, and demand variations that create disruptions greater than three days.
  • Demonstrate alignment to global demand and supply planning process.
  • Fully understand and convey franchise unique needs, develop informational decks/reporting to clearly assess plans, including supporting data, analysis, and new developments in supply upsides and constraints.
  • Assist the franchise in identifying, training, and supporting country representatives, demonstrating an effective and sustainable S&OP process.
  • Lead unit and dollar demand forecast review with franchise counterparts.
  • Identify gaps between current plans and financial commitments, derive possible gap closing initiatives and highlight the risks and opportunities.
  • Drive accuracy from the countries and submit on-time to Global counterparts a complete forecast that accurately reflects the market(s) demand, for short and long term horizons.
  • Partner with the Global, Regional, and Local Marketing teams on the product portfolio by overseeing franchise product launches/rationalization/special promotions, including communications to regulatory group and other key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • A wealth of experience in S&OP/Supply Chain working in a demand management/commercial environment.
  • Medical device or other regulated industry experience.
  • People management experience.
  • Demonstrated performance of achieving targets.
  • Fluent in English and able to work/visit the UK or France.
  • Willing to travel at agreed frequencies to support the French market.
