Job Profile

Our client, a leading Surface & Highways Company, is seeking a skilled Site Supervisor to oversee surfacing projects across various sectors, including Highways, Retail, Rail, Aviation, Commercial, and Defence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and promoting the company's health and safety policy, supervising surfacing works, and assisting the Contracts Manager in day-to-day management and delivery of the project.

The Site Supervisor will ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and complying with all Health and Safety requirements
  • Producing forward programmes for contracts managers, including material, labour, and plant requirements
  • Monitoring progress of works programmes and advising on any deviations
  • Undertaking regular site inspections and safety tours
  • Completing L, P & M returns
  • Raising non-conformance reports (NCRs) and providing supporting information
  • Managing operations to ensure best use of resources
  • Liaising closely with commercial and QS teams to enhance value of contracts

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within Highways or surfacing, hold a valid NRSWA and SMSTS Card, and possess a strong understanding of CDM regulations and relevant standards and specifications.

We offer a competitive salary up to £60k depending on experience, 25 days' holiday per year plus bank holidays, a company car, pension, company bonus, birthday bonus, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, and life insurance.
