We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Chef to join our team at Wendreth Court, a brand-new care home in March, Cambridgeshire. As an Assistant Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality and wholesome dishes to our residents.

About the Role:

  • Lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff to ensure seamless food preparation and service.
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to the diverse needs and preferences of our residents.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including COSHH, HACCP, and Environmental Health Standards.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain high standards of hygiene and food quality.
  • Manage kitchen budgets and resources effectively.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents and their families.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Knowledge of nutrition and menu planning, with the ability to cater to diverse dietary needs.
  • Experience in working with fresh seasonal food and maintaining high standards of food quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a customer-focused approach.
