About the Role

Axon Moore Group Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Controller to join their Sales Ledger team. As a key member of the finance function, you will play a crucial role in supporting the transactional finance side of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate and Issue Invoices: Create and send invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure all sales transactions are accurately recorded and up-to-date in the accounting system.
  • Set Up New Customer Accounts: Establish new customer accounts in the accounting system, ensuring all necessary information is complete and accurate.
  • Match Payments and Invoices: Verify that payments received match the corresponding invoices, and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Ensure Accurate Transaction Recording: Verify that all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
  • Collection Calls and Follow-up Actions: Conduct collection calls, letters, and follow-up actions to meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Resolving Queries: Resolve queries both internally and externally regarding outstanding invoices.
  • Monitor Outstanding Balances: Regularly review outstanding balances and follow up with customers for payment.
  • Finance Department Integration: Ensure the finance department is an integral part of the business, driving growth and realizing efficiencies through continuous improvement.
Person Specification
  • Experience in Credit Control and Sales Ledger: Proven experience in credit control and sales ledger, with a strong understanding of financial administration.
  • Excellent Organizational and Time Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Excel and Accounting Software: Proficiency in Excel and Navision accounting software, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Exceptional Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with colleagues from other disciplines.
  • Attention to Detail and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Team Player with Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to assimilate to emerging finance technologies quickly and easily.
