Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated individual to become a part of our team within the Clinical Imaging and Measurement Section at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust. While prior experience in a supportive role is beneficial, it is not a strict requirement. Candidates should possess qualities such as trustworthiness, empathy, cooperation, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

This position entails a flexible work schedule, with hours allocated per week. There is potential for the role to be shared between two individuals, each covering a portion of the total hours. The successful candidate must be adaptable regarding their working hours, as the service operates from Monday to Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and occasionally on weekends. A routine covering a selection of these hours will be established, but flexibility in the working pattern is essential.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves assisting patients and clinical personnel during DEXA outpatient appointments within the Clinical Imaging and Measurement Section.

Responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming patients and verifying their questionnaires.
  • Measuring patients' height and weight.
  • Ensuring patients are appropriately attired for the procedure.
  • Assisting patients in transferring onto the imaging couch.

You will collaborate closely with Technologists to ensure the effective utilization of the scanning facility (DEXA - Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry, utilized for measuring bone density).
