Position: Quality Engineer

Location: Any major hub within the United Kingdom

Key Responsibilities
  • Join our Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) team, focusing on quality assurance while gaining comprehensive insights into our operations, products, and services.
  • Oversee our risk-based supplier evaluation program, conducting both in-person and remote assessments, ensuring that findings are addressed to maintain high standards of products and services.
  • Lead internal audits focusing on the safety and compliance of supplied products, ensuring adherence to our specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across various business sectors and represent the global Linde organization in quality matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supplier assessment program and other quality processes.
  • Build and nurture relationships with suppliers, guiding them to meet our requirements and addressing any deficiencies in their products or services.
  • Work closely with the Procurement team to develop and maintain a system for monitoring and communicating the performance of quality-critical suppliers.
Qualifications
  • A degree or relevant qualification in a technical field such as chemical or mechanical engineering, or approximately 4 years of relevant experience in operational, engineering, or health & safety roles.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.
  • Understanding of business and health & safety risk exposures, along with the implications of non-conformities identified during audits.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation and standards related to our products, services, and equipment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO requirements or lead auditor qualifications would be advantageous, though a willingness to learn is equally valued.
  • Demonstrated integrity and commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive workplace.
  • Proficient IT skills, with knowledge of quality management systems being a plus.
