This role is pivotal in advancing our continuous improvement initiatives across our customer base, suppliers, and production facilities.
This unique opportunity offers exposure to a comprehensive range of business processes spanning our entire product and service portfolio, from supplier selection and approval to involvement in all stages of the product lifecycle, including direct customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a risk-based supplier assessment program aimed at identifying suppliers with significant SHEQ risk profiles.
- Conduct thorough onsite audits and remote assessments to ensure compliance and instill confidence in external stakeholders, including customers and regulatory bodies.
- Oversee the resolution of issues with suppliers whose products or services do not meet our standards, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with both suppliers and internal teams.
- Enhance and uphold the process for investigating defective equipment.
- Collaborate with Technical Authorities and suppliers on defective equipment investigations as necessary.
- Assist the UK & Ireland Quality & Assurance Manager in addressing technical quality issues and seizing opportunities for business and SHEQ performance enhancement.
- Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Fully qualified engineer with a background in production, chemical, or manufacturing, preferably in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficient in Quality Management Systems, particularly ISO 9001.
- Formal auditing qualifications are advantageous.
- Experience in Continuous Improvement and Project Leadership.
- Strong communication skills with confidence in engaging with customers and suppliers.
- Willingness to travel as required.
