Graduate Wastewater Catchment Planner / Modeller / Engineer


RPS is expanding and is seeking to enhance our team with Graduate Wastewater Engineers, Modellers, and Planners.

The available Graduate positions will involve a combination of office and remote work alongside industry professionals, with opportunities for fieldwork as necessary for data gathering.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Managing and analyzing large datasets
  • Planning and overseeing surveys
  • Utilizing GIS extensively, including software such as MapInfo, QGIS, and ArcGIS
  • Conducting statistical data analysis
  • Preparing factual and interpretative reports
  • Constructing, verifying, and analyzing hydraulic sewer network models using
  • InfoWorks ICM software
  • Engaging in integrated catchment modelling, including pluvial, fluvial, and interactions between rivers and sewers
  • Conducting catchment planning, risk assessment, and intervention strategy
  • Engaging and managing clients and stakeholders
  • Contributing to the development, maintenance, and documentation of specialized software tools and applications
About You:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or Environmental Science
  • Relevant coursework in wastewater, hydraulics, GIS, or flood risk is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team to address significant challenges
  • Proficiency in computing, including experience with Excel
