Position: Retail Associate (Outdoor Plants Section) – 30 Hours
We are seeking a Retail Associate for our Outdoor Plants section on a Part-Time, Permanent basis, working 30 hours per week, including alternate weekends. About Haskins Garden Centres
Haskins is a family-owned, award-winning enterprise with multiple destination garden centres across the South of England, each featuring a spacious restaurant.

Role Overview
As a Retail Associate, you will greet customers and assist them with inquiries regarding a diverse range of Indoor and Outdoor products.
Your goal will be to exceed expectations, driving sales and achieving departmental objectives while ensuring product quality, presentation, and stock levels are maintained in accordance with inventory control protocols.
This position may involve some heavy lifting and can be physically demanding.
Candidate Profile
This role is ideal for a motivated, enthusiastic, and diligent individual with outstanding customer service abilities and a keen desire to learn. In the Plant Department, you will deliver exceptional service and share your knowledge about our extensive product offerings. Previous experience in horticulture is preferred, and a genuine passion for plants is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing Point of Sale transactions
- Pricing and ordering stock
- Operating the till
- Replenishing inventory
- Display and merchandising tasks
- General housekeeping duties
- Lifting and handling compost
