Product Safety Engineering Lead

Salary: From £55,000 dependent on experience
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Safety Engineering Lead to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Safety Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our maritime platforms and nuclear propulsion systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the production of the safety Build Assurance Justification
- Review and ascertain the appropriateness of the Safety Argument and Safety Evidence provided by BAE
- Liaise with the Barrow Safety Assurance Manager on any concessions where the Platform build differs from design intent
- Act as the MOD technical liaison with Platform and Nuclear Propulsion build committees
- Provide the safety interface with the propulsion/reactor/ships/weapons Test Groups
Requirements:
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skillsets and experiences with senior board levels
- Gain programme management experience
- Previous experience in build assurance or maritime platforms of complex systems
- Good experience of technical risk management/governance procedures
- Hold a degree within a STEM subject
