Job Title: Engineering Manager - Product Safety

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team in Barrow-in-Furness. As a key member of our Safety Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the production of the safety Build Assurance Justification.
  • Review and assess the appropriateness of the Safety Argument and Safety Evidence provided by BAE.
  • Liaise with the Barrow Safety Assurance Manager on any concessions where the Platform build differs from design intent.
  • Act as the MOD technical liaison with Platform and Nuclear Propulsion build committees.
  • Provide the safety interface with the propulsion/reactor/ships/weapons Test Groups.
Requirements:
  • Strong stakeholder management skillsets and experiences with senior board levels.
  • Programme management experience.
  • Previous experience in build assurance or maritime platforms of complex systems.
  • Good experience of technical risk management/governance procedures.
  • Degree within a STEM subject.
