Job Title: Senior Engineer – Nuclear Safety Regulation & Interface

Salary: Competitive

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide independent advice and guidance on nuclear site license requirements to relevant business teams to ensure compliance with statutory and contractual obligations
  • Influence business management arrangements and ways of working to ensure effective stakeholder management
  • Interface with diverse internal and external stakeholders and authorities to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Opportunities to contribute to other parts of the team and develop expertise in nuclear safety and regulation

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Proven stakeholder management experience, including working with contractors, directors, and other stakeholders
  • Technical writing and persuasive argument skills, with experience in providing technical advice
  • Ability to understand and interpret regulatory requirements

Desirable:

  • Experience in a high-hazard regulated industry, such as nuclear safety

About the Team:

The Nuclear Safety and Regulation Department oversees nuclear regulation for site, providing specialist advice to the business on nuclear safety and site licensing. We offer relocation support across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
