Key Responsibilities
The primary focus areas for Natural England include:
- Developing a Nature Recovery Network to support wildlife conservation.
- Tracking environmental changes to mitigate climate change impacts.
- Collaborating with agricultural stakeholders to promote sustainable farming practices.
- Advising on development projects to optimize ecological benefits.
- Facilitating community engagement with nature through various initiatives.
As the Government's advisor on natural environments, Natural England plays a crucial role in implementing the Government's 25 Year Environment Plan, which aims to protect and enhance our natural landscapes.

Work Environment

Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be involved in:
- Day-to-day conservation management, including habitat maintenance and species monitoring.
- Managing livestock as part of conservation efforts.
- Building relationships with stakeholders, including landowners and community groups.
- Contributing to management planning and maintaining accurate records.
- Promoting volunteer engagement to support conservation priorities.
- Monitoring visitor interactions to ensure sustainable recreation practices.
- Upholding health and safety standards for all personnel and visitors.
- Overseeing procurement processes and managing contracts.
- Supporting broader team objectives for nature recovery initiatives.
Additional Requirements
A valid Driving Licence is essential for this position. The role may require occasional out-of-hours work for livestock management and public engagement activities.
