Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Fire and Security Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Fire & Security Systems business team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support and maintenance services for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and maintenance services for fire and security systems, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular preventative maintenance visits to ensure the optimal performance of fire and security systems.
  • Site Configuration: Collect and record site configuration information to ensure accurate system setup and configuration.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely records of all technical support and maintenance activities.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to colleagues and customers as required.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform additional tasks as required to support the smooth operation of our Fire & Security Systems business team.

Requirements:

  • Technical Experience: Previous experience installing and servicing a wide range of fire and security systems, including access control systems, CCTV systems, and intruder alarm systems.
  • Fire Alarm Systems: Experience of installing and servicing fire alarm systems, ideally GENT based.
  • IT and Electrical Qualifications: An IT qualification and/or Electrical/Electronic qualification.
  • Technical Knowledge: A broad technical IT knowledge, including installing various Windows Operating Systems, networking, and basic electrical principles such as measuring voltage and current drain.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills to ensure effective collaboration with colleagues and customers.
  • Teamwork: An enthusiastic team player who is able to work well under pressure and maintain a professional approach at all times.
  • Flexibility: Comfortable working irregular hours and being on a 24/7 call rota.
