Allen & York is proud to collaborate with one of the leading UK recyclers in the field of plastic waste management. Our client procures raw materials from various regions, catering to the needs of sectors such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, logistics, and waste processing.
As part of their growth strategy, our client seeks a motivated and dynamic Purchasing Specialist & Waste Trader to enhance their team in this vibrant and demanding environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering and managing supplier partnerships, primarily within the southern regions, while negotiating the acquisition of waste plastic resources.
To excel in this role, candidates should possess substantial commercial expertise, preferably within the waste management or environmental services industry. Strong skills in building and maintaining effective relationships with both new and existing suppliers are essential. The ability to evaluate and negotiate the procurement of plastic materials, alongside problem-solving logistical challenges, is crucial. Excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively are key attributes.
This position entails significant travel, requiring the candidate to be away from home for 1-2 nights weekly. A valid UK driving license and a flexible work approach are necessary.
