Allen & York is excited to collaborate with one of the leading recyclers in the UK, specializing in the procurement of waste plastic materials. Our client sources raw materials from various regions, catering to the needs of industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, logistics, and waste management.
As part of their growth strategy, our client seeks a motivated and dynamic Purchasing Specialist & Market Trader to enhance their established team in this vibrant role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cultivating and managing supplier partnerships, primarily within the UK, and negotiating the acquisition of waste plastic materials.
Successful applicants should possess substantial commercial experience, preferably within the waste management or environmental services sector, and demonstrate proficiency in building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing suppliers. The role requires the ability to evaluate and negotiate the purchase of plastic materials while adeptly addressing logistical challenges as they arise. Strong communication skills, organizational prowess, and the capability to prioritize tasks effectively are essential.
This position entails significant travel, necessitating overnight stays 1-2 times per week. Therefore, candidates must hold a valid UK driving license and exhibit flexibility in their work schedule.
