Facilities Manager Role Overview

Introduction

We are seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee our properties and ensure compliance with essential Health & Safety, Environmental, Fire, and Security regulations.

Note: The advertised salary includes an Outer London weighting allowance.



Work Environment

As a Facilities Manager, you will report directly to the General Manager and be an integral part of the Property Leadership Team. You will engage with various department heads, including visitor experience, park management, gardens, food and beverage, and retail. You will also collaborate with external specialists and maintain positive relationships with tenants, neighbors, and other stakeholders.



Key Responsibilities

Facilities management is a dynamic role; you will actively inspect our properties and ensure our systems are effective. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing all aspects of facilities management to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Managing support services and serving as a Duty Manager on a rotating schedule, including weekends.
  • Leading morning briefings for the team and being the primary contact for significant issues.
  • Coordinating responses with the General Manager and Property Leadership Team during emergencies.
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

This position offers diverse opportunities for growth, with many Facilities Managers advancing to Senior Facilities Manager roles or transitioning into specialized consultancy positions.



Candidate Profile

  • A solid understanding of facilities management and maintenance.
  • Experience in compliance and risk management, particularly in Health & Safety and Emergency procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, projects, and contractor relationships.
  • Proficient IT skills.
