About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Urology CNS to join our team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Urology CNS, you will play a vital role in supporting the ongoing development of our urology service, working closely with the General Manager and Specialty Lead to deliver a first-class service for urology patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide highly specialist nursing care and advice to patients on urology pathways of care.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
  • Lead and manage a team of staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement programs of care, demonstrating knowledge of specific patient needs and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Communicate effectively with GPs and the multidisciplinary team across organizational and professional boundaries.
Person Specification
  • Post-registration experience at Band 5 (minimum of 1 year).
  • Experience of caseload assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of programs of care, demonstrating knowledge of specific patient needs.
  • Experience of working in an MDT and across organizational and professional boundaries.
  • Experience of participating in clinical audit.
Requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills, using a systematic, thorough, and logical approach.
  • Ability to lead and work as part of a team, mentoring and counseling skills.
  • Change management skills, leadership skills, and excellent time management skills.
  • Computer literate, with an analytical approach to problem-solving and the ability to make clinical judgments, interpretations, and decisions.
