Building Safety Manager

Goodman Masson is working with a Housing Association in Cambridgeshire to recruit for an interim Building Safety Manager, reporting to the Head of Building Safety and Compliance.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Building Safety Manager to join our client's team on an interim basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Higher Risk Buildings across various sites in Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire, ensuring compliance with safety case reports and mandatory reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage building safety in accordance with the proposed safety case, facilitating the discharge of statutory duties and supporting residents.
- Ensure that those employed to maintain and manage the building have the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience.
- Maintain and operate information management systems to facilitate safe management of the building.
- Maintain and manage the safety case for the building, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Engage residents in the safe management of their building through a Resident Engagement Strategy.
- Demonstrate that fire risk assessments for the whole building are undertaken and reviewed regularly.
- Report mandatory occurrences to the Building Safety Regulator.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- NEBOSH fire safety (or equivalent).
- Membership of IFE or IFSM (or equivalent).
- Higher grade fire safety related qualification.
