Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled Building Safety Manager to manage Higher Risk Buildings across various sites in Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building safety, fire safety, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage building safety in accordance with the proposed safety case, ensuring the discharge of statutory duties and supporting residents.
- Ensure that those employed to maintain and manage the building have the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience.
- Maintain and operate information management systems to facilitate safe management of the building.
- Identify and ensure that necessary building remediation is undertaken to meet the conditions set out in the building registration certificate.
- Engage residents in the safe management of their building through a Resident Engagement Strategy.
- Demonstrate that fire risk assessments for the whole building are undertaken and reviewed regularly.
- Report mandatory occurrences to the Building Safety Regulator.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- NEBOSH fire safety (or equivalent).
- Membership of IFE or IFSM (or equivalent).
- Higher grade fire safety related qualification.
