Job Title: Building Safety Manager

Goodman Masson is seeking an experienced Building Safety Manager to join our client, a Housing Association in Cambridgeshire. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Building Safety and Compliance.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Building Safety Manager to manage Higher Risk Buildings across various sites in Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building safety, fire safety, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage building safety in accordance with the proposed safety case, ensuring the discharge of statutory duties and supporting residents.
  • Ensure that those employed to maintain and manage the building have the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience.
  • Maintain and operate information management systems to facilitate safe management of the building.
  • Identify and ensure that necessary building remediation is undertaken to meet the conditions set out in the building registration certificate.
  • Engage residents in the safe management of their building through a Resident Engagement Strategy.
  • Demonstrate that fire risk assessments for the whole building are undertaken and reviewed regularly.
  • Report mandatory occurrences to the Building Safety Regulator.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • NEBOSH fire safety (or equivalent).
  • Membership of IFE or IFSM (or equivalent).
  • Higher grade fire safety related qualification.
