Building Safety Manager

Job Summary
Goodman Masson is seeking an experienced Building Safety Manager to join our client, a Housing Association in Cambridgeshire, on an interim basis. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Building Safety and Compliance and be responsible for managing Higher Risk Buildings across various sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage building safety in accordance with the proposed safety case, ensuring the discharge of statutory duties and supporting residents.
- Assess and ensure that those employed to maintain and manage the building have the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience.
- Maintain and operate information management systems to facilitate safe management of the building.
- Develop and maintain the safety case for the building, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring necessary remediation is undertaken.
- Engage residents in the safe management of their building through a Resident Engagement Strategy.
- Conduct regular fire risk assessments and ensure recommendations are implemented in a timely manner.
- Report mandatory occurrences to the Building Safety Regulator.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- NEBOSH fire safety certification or equivalent.
- Membership of IFE or IFSM or equivalent.
- Higher grade fire safety-related qualification.
