About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst to join our Central Functions - Finance team at Nationwide. As a Lead Business Analyst, you will play a key role in designing and delivering business solutions that add significant value, achieve business success, and help us meet our statutory and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead analysis on prioritized initiatives, working closely with Product Owners to shape and define scope and measurable outcomes.
  • Use business analysis or solution design knowledge to identify solutions that achieve the best business outcome, influencing technology and business resolutions with confidence and innovation.
  • Lead a team of Business Analysts, ensuring their work is estimated, scheduled, prioritized, and meets quality expectations.
  • Develop and maintain strong influencing relationships with business stakeholders and the leadership team.
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve issues and risks, working proactively to improve processes and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in business analysis or solution design, preferably in financial services.
  • Strong conceptual and lateral thinking skills, with excellent insight into defining business outcomes and requirements.
  • Knowledge of business solution/analysis techniques, tools, and methods, with a strong understanding of their purpose, fit, and relevance.
  • Strong understanding of compliance and governance within a rapid delivery environment.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
