About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Business Solutions Architect to join our Central Functions - Finance team at Nationwide Building Society.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering business solutions that add significant value, achieve business success, and help us meet our statutory and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead analysis on prioritized initiatives, working in partnership with Product Owners to shape and define scope and measurable outcomes.
  • Use business analysis or solution design knowledge to identify solutions that achieve the best business outcome, influencing technology and business resolutions with confidence and innovation.
  • Lead a team of Business Analysts, ensuring their work is estimated, scheduled, prioritized, and meets quality expectations.
  • Use strong communication skills to engage with diverse change team participants and establish influencing relationships with business stakeholders and the leadership team.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in business analysis or solution design, preferably within financial services.
  • Conceptual, lateral thinking with excellent insight in defining business outcomes and requirements within a Finance environment.
  • Knowledge of business solution/analysis techniques, tools, and methods, with a strong understanding of their purpose, fit, and relevance.
  • Strong understanding of the role of demonstrable compliance and governance within a rapid delivery environment.
  • Ability to confidently communicate with senior stakeholders and design forums, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven experience of leading a team.
  • Fundamental understanding of Finance function, processes, and technologies.
