Senior Business Analyst - Global Financial Lines & Cyber Underwriting

AXA XL is at the forefront of underwriting solutions in Financial Lines and Cyber insurance, catering to a diverse range of clients. This position presents an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to elevate their career within the Global Financial Lines & Cyber Underwriting sector.

The Senior Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in the organization, undertaking critical responsibilities such as project oversight, management of data analytics, comprehensive reporting, and the creation of impactful presentations.

As the landscape of Financial Lines and Cyber risks evolves, the Senior Business Analyst is essential in fostering underwriting excellence and crafting customized solutions to meet these emerging challenges.

Key internal collaborations will involve Underwriting Business Units, Pricing Actuaries, Risk Management, Claims, and various other departments, promoting a synergistic approach to complex risk management.

Core Responsibilities:

Strategic Implementation:

  • Execute the Global Financial Lines & Cyber Product strategy along with necessary controls.

Performance Enhancement:

  • Facilitate Financial Lines & Cyber initiatives through detailed data analysis to improve decision-making and portfolio outcomes.
  • Develop compelling business presentations and analytical reports.
  • Oversee portfolio aggregation, claims trends, and the identification of emerging risks.

Governance Support:

  • Document and address issues while supporting governance functions.
  • Enhance data quality in collaboration with Operations.

Best Practices Sharing:

  • Utilize collaboration tools to disseminate best practices across teams.

Common Goals of AXA XL:

  • Assist in strategic projects as required.

Ad Hoc Responsibilities:

  • Provide additional support as necessary.

This role reports directly to the Global Head of Underwriting Management for Financial Lines & Cyber.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in (re)insurance and operational functions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Insurance, complemented by relevant industry experience.
  • Expertise in data analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Strong ability to interpret data and discern trends.
  • Exceptional collaboration and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
