We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategy at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. As the Head of EDI, you will play a critical role in shaping the hospital's culture and ensuring that we provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all staff, patients, and visitors.
Main Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership to advance EDI initiatives and foster a culture of inclusivity throughout the organization.
- Develop and implement EDI policies, procedures, and programs that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to drive EDI agenda and ensure compliance with local and national policies.
- Analyze data and identify areas for improvement, engaging with underrepresented groups and fostering partnerships with external organizations.
- Develop and implement EDI training programs for staff, managers, and executives.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including staff, patients, and external partners.
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as diversity and inclusion, human resources, or organizational development.
- Proven track record of leading EDI initiatives and developing inclusive cultures in complex organizations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to analyze data and develop insights to inform EDI strategies.
- Experience in developing and implementing EDI policies, procedures, and programs.
- Knowledge of employment law and equalities legislation.
