Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established monthly timelines for the preparation of management accounts.
  • Generate cash flow and budget forecasts in collaboration with budget managers.
  • Deliver financial reports, analyzing discrepancies against planned figures in the monthly management accounts.
  • Assist with daily bookkeeping and accounting tasks for each entity on an accrual basis.
  • Supervise the reconciliation of all banking transactions on XERO for all entities on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Prepare gross margin analyses and related schedules supporting the monthly accounts, categorized by service, customer, contract, and location.
  • Oversee and assist with purchase ledger processing, supplier payment cycles, and payroll operations.
  • Manage and facilitate the credit control process, ensuring adherence to the company’s debtor day objectives.
  • Minimize input VAT leakage on expenses and procurement by following up on outstanding purchase invoices or receipts.
  • Administer the issuance of intercompany journals and the monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
  • Support the treasury management function of the group in placing and retrieving deposits.
  • Enhance purchasing and financial control systems, providing insights and recommending improvements to management.
