Role Overview

Objective of the Position

The primary responsibility is to assist the client adviser in managing employee benefits programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Services

Provide high-quality scheme support for Group Risk & Healthcare clients in a timely manner. Prepare written reports and correspondence related to specific client cases. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, including insurers and introducing firms, to ensure benefits align with client specifications and manage scheme renewals effectively. Conduct market research on products relevant to client needs. Gather illustrations from insurers along with technical data, performance inquiries, and general provider information. Analyze raw data to assist advisers in formulating client recommendations during establishment and renewal phases. Identify and document any risks, breaches, or errors, ensuring appropriate actions and controls are implemented. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to Assistants as necessary to optimize resource utilization. Address client inquiries, escalating to Senior Manager and/or Advisers when appropriate. Communicate with clients through various channels, including phone, MS Teams, email, and written correspondence, maintaining professionalism and timeliness, and attend meetings to support the adviser as needed. Manage records and data securely and in accordance with company policies. Ensure comprehensive and accurate client records are maintained at all times.

Financial Management

Accurately record all billable client work on a daily basis. Facilitate the timely generation of fee invoices and assist advisers in managing work in progress, outstanding debts, and client profitability.

Compliance and Regulation

Adhere to all regulatory and departmental standards.

Business Development

Support tender processes and onboarding initiatives as required.

Qualifications

Educational Background and Professional Credentials

Strong educational background. Relevant professional qualifications are advantageous, though not mandatory, along with a willingness to pursue further development and examinations.

Essential Competencies:

Analytical Skills – ability to assess client information and identify needs to make appropriate recommendations. Communication Proficiency – ability to engage with stakeholders and convey information clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats, producing concise, well-structured documents tailored to the audience. Customer Orientation – enhance client satisfaction and cultivate long-term, trusted relationships. Time Management – effectively organize time, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities. Team Collaboration – foster effective teamwork and cooperation within the department, assist the line manager in addressing training and development needs of team members, and share best practices with colleagues. Technical Proficiency: maintain a high level of technical knowledge and stay updated on industry developments and regulatory changes.

Key Skills and Experience

Exceptional client service abilities - prior experience in employee benefits is essential for this position. Proficient in core Microsoft Office applications. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience in drafting reports and correspondence. Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively. Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating initiative.
